A lead is a person with a problem and a deadline
Not a click, not an impression. Someone's roof is leaking, and they will hire whoever shows up, answers fast, and sounds like they know the trade. Everything we build aims at being that business.
About UpGrow
Somewhere in your county is a contractor who does better work than anyone on page one, and his phone is quieter. He has paid for marketing before. It reported impressions: a number nobody can spend.
UpGrow exists for him. We do search, in both of its forms. Search engine optimization gets you found when a homeowner types roofer near me. AI answer work gets you named when they ask ChatGPT or Google who to call. Both are engineering, and engineering is what we are.
Where your customers look, and where we work
Why UpGrow had to exist
Gray Angelo spent a decade building the machinery big companies sell with: consultant at global firms, senior admin and developer running revenue operations, enterprise applications engineering, and his own Salesforce consulting practice since 2022. The job, the whole time, was the same. Build systems that turn attention into booked revenue.
Then search changed. Homeowners stopped scrolling ten blue links and started getting one answer, from Google or from ChatGPT. Whether your company is that answer is decided by what a machine can read, verify and quote about you. That is not ad buying. That is engineering, the work Gray had already been doing for ten years.
So UpGrow had to exist. You are the one who wins the job, does the work and earns the review. We are the crew behind you: the engineers who make sure that when your customer asks Google or an AI who to call, the answer is your name.
Real numbers
Charts on agency sites are usually decoration. Ours are data. The chart is our own search line, and every tile links to the page where we prove it.

How we think
We are not an ad agency and we do not sell activity. We sell the outcome at the end of a chain, and we manage the whole chain.
Not a click, not an impression. Someone's roof is leaking, and they will hire whoever shows up, answers fast, and sounds like they know the trade. Everything we build aims at being that business.
Get found. Get trusted. Get the call. Answer it. Book the job. Each step is measurable, each one leaks money when it breaks, and almost nobody watches all five. We do.
The contractor who calls back in ten minutes beats the one with the better website. So response time is part of marketing, not your problem. Missed calls get a text back. Leads land somewhere with an owner and a clock.
Your domain, your Google profile, your content, your numbers. Cost per job falls over time because you built something, not because you rented a lead feed that raises prices every year.
The technical part
Whether Google or ChatGPT names your business is decided by plumbing: what a machine can read, verify and quote about you. That is engineering work, and it is the part of marketing most agencies cannot do. We can, because building systems is where we come from.
Structured data, crawler access, fast pages, consistent business facts. It is what lets a machine quote you when a homeowner asks who to call.
Calls, form fills, booked work, and where each one came from. Five numbers you can act on. Impressions go on page two.
Review requests, lead routing, missed-call texts, monthly reports. Systems do the repetition so people do the judgment.
Get found on Google. Get named by AI.
The founder
The engineer who gets contractors named by Google and AI.
Gray's zone is the machinery. A decade of Salesforce and CRM engineering for enterprises, automation that routes, scores and answers leads, and AI shipped to production: he founded ApexGenius.ai, an AI platform running 14 AI agents for 50+ paying accounts.
His bet, and the one UpGrow is built on: local marketing is now an engineering discipline. The contractors who treat it that way will take the calls from the ones who do not.
